Display case of nests and small garden embroideries.
Ramp Gallery art show, NWPL
"Garden Stories", my fabric art exhibition, is on display at the New Westminster Public Library for the month of April 2010.
Kirsten Chursinoff's fabric art celebrates the seasonal return of flowers to the garden. Inspired by the tradition of botanical illustration, some pieces delve beneath the ground exposing roots and bulbs; showing the full story of the plants. See what's happening in the garden through the eyes of a fabric artist - a garden where the petals, leaves and buds are sewn and embroidered to resemble paintings.
April 1-30, 2010
Please remember that the library will be closed April 2,4,5 for the Easter weekend (but is open on the Saturday).
